Please note: Visits will be cancelled if your loved one becomes symptomatic and/or unwell, or if weather conditions are unsuitable for an outdoor visit. If Valleyview is aware of such a situation far enough in advance, we will make an effort to notify you by phone. However, some situations may not be recognized until shortly before the planned visit, and we will regretfully have to inform you upon arrival. Below are visiting guidelines for General Visitors to ensure a safe visit that includes:
Please do not arrive until 5 minutes before your scheduled visit – We do ask you do not arrive too early so you are not crossing paths with other family members
• Must wear a mask at all times
• Must pass screening at Courtyard (see map for area) to enter and proceed with visiting loved one
• Screener will direct you to a zoned area where you will be seated for the duration of visit
• Prior to entering and leaving the Courtyard, the Screener will ensure hands are sanitized
• Do not bring any pets or any outside food or drinks for your loved ones
• General Visitors are not permitted to embrace physically with your loved ones.
• Please ensure that you are following physical distancing guidelines. Failure to do so will result in your family member being in isolation for 14 days
• Minimize accessories with you to lower the risk of virus transfer
• Avoid touching your face, eyes, ears or adjusting your glasses during the visits
• The staff and/or essential caregiver will transport resident to and from the courtyard and ensure your loved ones hands are sanitized.
• All visiting area chairs will be cleaned and disinfected between every visit
